Who joins Shine the Light?
All are welcome! — students, parents, elders, clergy, healthcare workers, artists, neighbors. People of all religious and secular backgrounds, in urban and rural neighborhoods; those who have participated in protests or rallies, and those who are new to making their voices heard. We are united: We will not stand idly by while democracy is threatened and neighbors are targeted.
Shine the Light! – you will make a difference.
When you make your voice visible, you influence those who walk or drive by. This is a simple, weekly half hour of meaningful action. You’ll be surprised who waves, honks, and joins you. You’ll build connections with your neighbors. Join the Monday Noon-Zoom meetings – you’ll share music, poetry and humor, reminding us that joy is a form of resistance.
Shine the Light is a signature program of The Beacon, a growing movement connecting people of all faiths and secular backgrounds to stand for compassionate democracy and reject cruelty, fear, and despair.
We are not giving up. We are not giving in.
